Great Britain (and Northern Ireland - we don’t leave anyone out!) loves food that is beige, and full of carbs. Briefly omitting their main meals, those traits are part of the reason their desserts are so dang good!

If you like delicious dessert as much as I do - likely since you clicked this link - there are few places in London that a must to check out. Read on and salivate at will!

Despite being completely vegan and gluten free, Cookies & Scream has perfected their baking to the point that you can’t even tell! I highly recommend the 50’s style dessert shop’s cookie sandwiches and the Chico pies - ask them to warm it up for you, but be aware you might get addicted!

6. Udderlicious

A cute little ice cream shop on Old Street, constantly debuting a new flavour of the month based on customer suggestions. With unique flavours and fun seating (think swings and barstools) this place is sure to satisfy the tastes of many.

7. Milk Train

Although I am not a big fan of cotton candy, there’s something about the presentation of Milk Train’s huge cloud-shaped concoctions that reel me in. Perfect on the gram, and the soft serve itself is equally delicious. What’s not to like about that?

8. Elan Café/ Peggy Porschen Cakes

As I’ve mentioned in other posts, Elan Café and Peggy Porschen Cakes are the go-to instagram friendly + deliciously pink and colourful dessert cafés. If you’re seeking that perfect pretty shot, these two are your best bet!

9. L’Eto

L’Eto, meaning “summer” in Russian, is a beautifully designed dessert shop lining the SoHo streets. You’ll be tempted to enter the moment you catch sight of their beautifully laid out desserts in their store window. Friendly servers and fantastic lattes really make this place stand out!

10. Soft Serve Society

If you love soft serve, then Soft Serve Society is for you! With a myriad of toppings, you’re sure to find one to satisfy any craving. Honeycomb? They have it. Pocky? They have that, too. If you’re particularly hungry, dive into one of their gigantic “Freak Shakes”! You won’t regret it!

Cookies & Scream - Vegan and Gluten Free Heaven!

Cookies & Scream - Vegan and Gluten Free Heaven!

I feel the explicit need to also mention Beyond Bread, which is a 100% celiac friendly gluten free food/ coffee/ dessert place with multiple locations in London. I’ve eaten many a sandwich and French toast from here. While it isn’t exclusively a “dessert-place”, the cakes are incredible, and well worth a trip to try! The Hummingbird Bakery and Lola’s Bakery also offer gluten-friendly red velvet cupcakes (The Hummingbird Bakery) and cakes (Lola’s Bakery) that are quite nice. Snog, with a few upbeat and quirkily-decorated locations across London, is also a great dessert spot for fabulous frozen yougurt with a myriad of toppings.

Thanks for reading, lovely! Happy eating!
