Bocca Café (Coffee Shop and Cafe Reviews - AMSTERDAM)

You’ve arrived in Amsterdam.

After you’ve settled in, you take the metro and head straight to Centraal Station.

You exit, and take in the beautiful Central Station building as bikes whizz past you on all sides.

And then…

You feel it. Your stomach grumbles. What are you to do? You’ve just started exploring Amsterdam, and you only want a quick bite and some caffeine that’ll keep you satisfied until the early evening.

Well, just across from the canal, you spot: Bocca Coffee Roasters.

Is it worth it? Should you pop in? Yes!

Bocca is a lovely chain of coffee shops across Amsterdam that source and roast their own beans from Ethiopia. The company aims to be transparent in their sourcing of the beans, and claims to pay it’s workers 56% above the Fair-Trade price. In their own words, they “manage the entire bean-to-cup process”.

Bocca Coffee Roasters definitely make a tasty cup. I find them to be very consistent in terms of both quality and taste. They also add a little stroopwaffel with every drink - cute and delicious!

As for food, the café provides many healthy options. My personal favourite? The yogurt with fruit and honey. It was yummy and very, very filing. Perfect if you’re planning a quick and filling bite before an entire day of sight-seeing!
