April 2019 - Favourites

With Spring finally having sprung in Toronto, there have been a few products that have tickled my fancy throughout the month of April.

MAC BOOM BOOM Bloom in Shades Framboise Moi & Wagasa Twirl (Spring Collection)

The packing of MAC’s Boom Boom Bloom Collection had be lusting after it from the moment I first laid eyes upon it. THOSE. CHERRY. BLOSSOMS.

I was sold.

I ended up caving and bought two of the colours from the collections (Framboise Moi & Wagasa Twirl), and I’ve been extremely pleased with the quality and colour-payoff. If you enjoy beautiful packaging for a quality product, they’re nice pieces to own.

P.S. My MAC lip pencils Beet and Edge to Edge matched the colours I bought perfectly.

Bath & Body Works London Tea & Lemon Three-Wick Candle

London Tea & Lemon is such a refreshing scent that suits spring perfectly. The new packaging I find adorable, and it really brightens up any room I’ve put it in. I personally like the three-wick candles since their scent saturates any room you’re in within minutes.

LUSH’s Dream Cream

Lush has been selling Dream Cream for ages, but it’s still one of those staple products that always performs well. It received another boost of attention in the media recently with the stories of it helping to soothe the skin of a child with eczema.

It’s a great moisturizer, and it’s been one of my go-to’s this spring after the long and dry winter.

Dr. Mist Deodorant Spray

I have tried many non-toxic and aluminum-free deodorants over the years, and this particular spray is one of the best. This natural formula has a pleasing scent (lavender!) and works well to whisk odours away. The other major benefit? There’s no white residue to stain your clothes (if you’ve tried some other “natural” deodorant brands, you probably know what I’m talking about). This is a definite winner in my books, and worth a try for these warmer months ahead!

PAI Light Work Nourishing Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover

On my quest to find a natural & non-toxic makeup remover that I could use without cotton pads (hello, saving the environment!), I discovered Pai’s excellent cleansing oil. On top of smelling nice, it takes off pesky eye makeup efficiently and is easy to remove. I double-cleanse my face by using this product in tandem with Pai’s gentle Camellia & Rose Hydrating Cleanser. It doesn’t clog my pores, and a little goes a long way!

Blue Scrunchies

While I can’t remember the exact store in which I bought these two blue scrunchies (they’re an easy item to purchase), their cyan and royal blue colours have really jazzed up many of my April outfits (I included one for reference). Perhaps it’s the fact that I finally see more hints of blue rather than grey in the sky, perhaps it’s my longing to go to the beach. Whatever the reason, blue has been my go-to colour this past month, and scrunchies are such an easy and inexpensive way to add a pop of colour to any of your Spring Looks™.
