Top 3 Best Gluten Free Chicken Wings in Toronto (Celiac Safe)
I am a chicken wing FIEND. I am very, very picky when it comes to wings, and luckily there are some great spots in Toronto. If you’re celiac or just gluten free, these are the places you must include in your regular rotation.
If you’re celiac/ gluten free/ gluten sensitive/ wheat free/ gluten curious, and want even more Gluten Free in Toronto, then check out my original Gluten Free restaurant post, my best Gluten Free Pizza post, and my Gluten Free Cakes post!
SCORE ON QUEEN/ KING
I feel like I’ve scored every time I set foot in Score!
Their entire menu, save for a few items, can be made celiac-safe gluten free, including their chicken wings and dipping sauces. The sauces are saucy, which is exactly how I like it. There are also dry rubs, and some of their fun choices include BBQ, Sweet Chilli, and Lemon Pepper.
If you find yourself late-night, requiring wings, Score is definitely your spot. Your non gluten-free friends will also love it!
As an aside, if you know me personally, you know I consider Score’s yam fries the BEST in the city. I will make an explicit trip to Score just for these fries. They’re often open until the wee hours of the morning, which is perfect for a night owl such as myself. Those fries are a perfect addition to their fries (please refer to the photo of my literal wing + yam fries order). I have too many of the exact same photo, because I order this often. I can’t recommend this combo enough!
Score a royal flush when you visit either the Queen or King location on your next late-night outing (that sentence was a fucking masterpiece, and I managed to improv it while listening to a podcast at 12:51am while eating PB cookies).
Visit, then thank me later!

DADDY’S CHICKEN
Thank you, Daddy!
(I’m so sorry for typing that)
Daddy’s Chicken is one of the most consistently standout chicken establishments in Toronto. What’s absolutely bonkers to me is knowing that they have the facilities to create both “normal” and entirely celiac safe “gluten free” options of their offerings.
Of course, no reputable chicken place would be complete without chicken wings. Daddy’s Chicken, true to their name, makes wonderful wings, with an array of sauces from which to pick. There are both dry and saucy rubs available, as well as dipping sauces if you so fancy.
Daddy’s is a great takeout option, and it travels fairly well. My only complaint is it’s not open later! I usually need my wings past 10:00pm, but I try and order Daddy’s early explicitly for the taste.
You’ll surely be saying “Daddy, more!” once you give these a taste!
(Again, I’m so sorry for typing that. I actually have held myself back).

INSOMNIA
While Insomnia only has one wing option, it’s a unique offering that I enjoy enough to shoutout!
The curried chicken wings are slow-roasted and made with ghee, which makes them very, very tender. The accompanying garlic aioli and chilli oil are also phenomenal, and add just a complex flavour profile to this otherwise simple dish.
Insomnia is always a great vibe, and I appreciate how late they remain open. 2am chicken wings is such a vibe, especially when paired with a live DJ, or an excellent Spotify playlist.
The other thing I want to mention is that I’ve never had bad service at Insomnia. It has always, always blown me away.
Insomnia is usually able to make their wings entirely celiac safe, but just double check with the servers to ensure there is no cross contamination.
If you’re a cool cat and want live music or a banging playlist to accompany your wings, this is your SPOT.
