Pai Skincare Review (Clean, Cruelty-Free, and Vegan)

Who doesn’t love skincare? I know I do 🙋🏻‍♀️. However, I prefer it when the products I choose to apply to my face are safe, clean, and not full of nasty ingredients. That’s right, I’m majorly side-eyeing parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, and silicones right now.

Pai Skincare is an excellent brand that delivers quality-products at reasonable prices that are free of those nasty ingredients. Read on to discover my thoughts on some of their key product offerings!

Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser

Pai Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free, Certified Organic, Vegan, Natural, Clean) - Moisturizer, Serum, Cream, Facial Oil, Eye Cream, Cleanser

This product claims to be suitable for eczema and rosacea prone skin. I have very sensitive skin, and I’ve never had an issue with it! It’s quite refreshing to have found a cleanser that doesn’t create any tingling, itching, or extra redness on my skin after using it.

The cleanser, which has firman CO2 extract, does come with a muslin cloth that has two sides. One is smooth and geared towards sensitive skin (the one I use), and the other has some ridges meant for light exfoliation.

I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but it isn’t cloying, and I’d much rather a cleanser that isn’t fragranced.

The cleanser is full of Omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9, and is free from “Alcohol (denat.), Witch Hazel, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Menthol and other common Rosacea triggers.”.

Overall, it’s a nice product, and a great addition for those with sensitive skin.

Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Skin Tonic

I switched to this after having used the Kat Burki Super Nutrient Elixir. To be honest, I haven’t noticed too much fo a difference after having added on this toner to my routine as opposed to the other one.

While it didn’t irritate my skin, I don’t think it made too much of a difference, either.

Perfect Balance Blemish Serum Copaiba & Zinc

Pai Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free, Certified Organic, Vegan, Natural, Clean) - Moisturizer, Serum, Cream, Facial Oil, Eye Cream, Cleanser

My local clean skincare store recommended this serum when I complained of needed something to help calm my acne-prone skin.

This product definitely requires a couple of weeks of usage before any concrete results. The benefit of it’s slow effects is that it’s acne-frighting properties aren’t harsh enough to irritate or dry out sensitive skin.

It’s a nice addition with other acne-fighting products to help reduce the build-up of unwanted bacteria in the skin.

Day Creams

Although there are only two pictured here, there are 3 Pai day creams which I tried. The photos on the right are of my two favourites!

Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream:
After about a month of using this cream, I noticed that any general redness on my face had seemed to calm down. I don’t mind the scent, and I really like the application of this cream. If you it a few minutes to dry, it’s quite easy to layer makeup and sunscreen over it. I like to use it in the morning, but do give it at least a month trial to see the full effects!

Recommended? Yes!

Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream:
This cream may be marketed as a “day cream”, but I tend to swipe it on at nighttime when I want something a bit more hydrating. In terms of natural skincare, it doesn’t have too cloying of a scent. The texture is very nice, and it glides on well.

Recommended? Yes!

Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream:
This particular Pai cream was my least favourite out of the three. Its marketed towards eczema-prone skin, but I personally found the Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream more suited to that. It also said it helped “combat blemishes, blackheads and breakouts”, but I didn’t find that my acne looked any different before or after my trial of the cream.

It is by no means “bad”, but it just didn’t perform as well for me as the other two creams. Perhaps if you’ve got a different skin type, it could work out for you!

Recommended? Perhaps for a different skin type; it wasn’t right for me.

Echium & Argan Gentle Eye Cream

Pai Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free, Certified Organic, Vegan, Natural, Clean) - Moisturizer, Serum, Cream, Facial Oil, Eye Cream, Cleanser

I’ve really enjoyed using this particular eye cream. Even though I find it very moisturizing, it’s not too “heavy” of a formula.

I use it twice a day. At nighttime, one of it’s benefits is that it doesn’t leave my eyes feeling greasy when I wake up. In the morning, it’s light enough to easily layer sunscreen or makeup over it.

It’s not as difficult to spread out under the eye as some other eye creams I’ve used, and it isn’t too strongly scented.

Recommended? Yes.

Kakui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator

I really disliked this product.

I tried using it twice a week for three months, and didn’t really see a difference in my skin.

Compared to other exfoliators I have used, I found it more difficult to apply, and the “beads” never really blended in properly. I always just found my face feeling worse afterwards.

Even though the ingredients are good, they don't seem to meld well in this product. There are better exfoliators out there!

Rosehip BioRegenrate Oil

Pai Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free, Certified Organic, Vegan, Natural, Clean) - Moisturizer, Serum, Cream, Facial Oil, Eye Cream, Cleanser

Rosehip seed oil, harvested from the seeds of rose bushes (rose canina), is known to help hydrate dry skin, reduce fine lines or scars, aid in anti-aging, correct dark spots, protect against environmental damage, and settle down acne prone skin.

Pai’s rosehip is one of my favourites, as I found there was a noticeable difference in my skin after a couple of weeks of usage. This cold-pressed formula is concentrated, and you only need a few drops to cover your entire face.

It’s even touted as safe and non-irritating for sensitive or eczema-prone skin. High in carotenoids and Omega 3, 6, 7, and 9, this Andean oil is a great addition to any skincare routine.

Recommended? Yes.
