Pai Nighttime Skincare Routine (Clean, Organic, Vegan, and Cruelty-Free)

Amongst the multitude of skincare brands popping up across the beauty market, only a small minority are entirely “clean”. Pai happens to be one of those brands, and it prides itself on being clean, cruelty-free, certified organic, and vegan. Talk about healthy!

For those looking to begin a “clean” and “natural” skincare regimen, below is a detailed account of a Pai skincare regimen I have followed. This skincare routine is best suited for the morning. Obviously, each person’s skin has individuals requirements and reacts differently to select products. This happens to be a routine that worked for me, and it can be modified depending on your individual skin needs.

The Nighttime Routine

1. Begin by applying 2-3 pumps of Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil to a dry face.

Gently rub product on skin using circular movements. Makeup should begin to dissolve. (Pay no attention to your face looking like The Crow for a moment - that’s good.)

2.Wet hands and then continue to massage face until all traces of makeup seem dissolved.

This should create a light foam.

3. Rinse the product off of the face entirely with water.

Cold or lukewarm water is preferred, as it is the most effective at removing dirt. Hot water can dry out your skin with excessive use.

4. Dry Face with a washcloth.

Pat, don’t rub!

5. apply Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser to dry skin.

Gently massage product over skin using circular motions

6. Dampen the provided Dual Effect Sensitive Skin Cloth.

Wring it out so it isn’t dripping water.

7. Use the soft-side of the provided Dual Effect Sensitive Skin Cloth to lightly sweep and cleanse over eye area.

Do not pull or tug at the undereye area.

8. Use the muslin-side of the provided Dual Effect Sensitive SkiN Cloth to remove all product from rest of face.

Do not pull or tug too roughly at the skin of your face.

9. Pat face dry with a washcloth of your choice.

Pat, don’t rub!

10. Spray 1-2 squirts of Rice Plant & Rosemary Bioaffinity Skin Tonic over entire face.

Let it sit for 15-30 seconds

11. Apply an Eye Serum of your choice.

Pai doesn’t currently offer an Eye Serum. I use Kat Burki Rose Hip Intense Recovery Eye Serum.

12. Wait 3 minutes for the serum to work.

This allows the product to have a chance to effectively do it’s work before “mixing” with another product.

13. Apply Echium & Argan Gentle Eye Cream to the under-eye area by using your ring finger to gently distribute the product

When applying eye serums or eye creams, lightly dab / pat the skin underneath the eye with your ring finger. Never swipe or pull the skin.

14. Apply 2-3 drops of Rosehip Biogenerate Oil to slightly damp hands and gently pat product onto face, avoiding eye area

Note: Facial oils do stain clothing, so put on your clothes/ pyjamas before you do your skincare routine!

15. Swipe on a lip balm of your choice

I am currently using NUXE Rêve de Miel Honey Lip Balm before bed.

16. Wait a few minutes for all the product to dry, and then put on your pyjamas and go to bed (or watch netflix)

Alternative “before-bed” routines

Alternative Steps #1:

Instead of using Rosehip Biogenerate Oil, alter the proposed skincare routine, beginning at Step 11, as follows:

11. Apply an Eye Serum

12. APPLY BACK TO LIFE HYDRATION SERUM / COPAIBA & ZINC PERFECT BALANCE BLEMISH SERUM

The Back to Life Hydration Serum is good for skin that needs some extra moisture. The Copaiba & Zinc Perfect Balance Blemish Serum is good for preventing and controlling breakouts.

12. Wait 3 minutes for the serums to work

This allows the product to have a chance to effectively do it’s work before “mixing” with another product.

13. APPLY ECHIUM & ARGAN GENTLE EYE CREAM TO THE UNDER-EYE AREA BY USING YOUR RING FINGER TO GENTLY DISTRIBUTE THE PRODUCT.

When applying eye serums or eye creams, lightly dab / pat the skin underneath the eye with your ring finger. Never swipe or pull the skin.

14. Apply Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream

Massage the product into the face to help increase blood circulation. Be gentle on the skin. Although this says “Day Cream” It’s rich and hydrating enough for nighttime.

15. Swipe on a moisturizing lip balm of your choice

I use Nuxe Baume Lèvres Rêve de Miel Honey Lip Balm

Alternative Steps #2:

Instead of using Rosehip Biogenerate Oil, alter the proposed skincare routine, beginning at If extra hydration is needed, alter the steps beginning at Step 14 as follows.

15. Apply a pea-sized amount of Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream to the palm of your hand

16. Add 1-2 drops of Rosehip Biogenerate Oil to the Cream

17. Apply mixture to face

Use gentle, circular motions

18. Swipe on a moisturizing lip balm of your choice
